Stanley No. 90A Bullnose

$1,095.00

We usually don’t like talking about how rare a tool is, but sometimes we have to make an exception. This 90A is one of those times.

The 90A is a unicorn in the Stanley plane world. One of the rarest planes Stanley every made. Who knows for sure, but it seems there are maybe a couple dozen of these left in the world.

This one is in excellent condition with about 85% nickel plating and all the right parts and markings. 90A engraved on the depth adjuster knob and on the original iron. As with most super rare planes, there are a couple issues, though we look at them as scars of use that reflect the reality that nothing’s perfect and this tool was used—as it was supposed to be. First, there are two hairline through-cracks on the narrow front right vertical part of the body that has not been stabilized or tampered with. Second, a prior owner, one “Reger” also signed it on the right side. See photos.

If you want the Stanley rarities in your collection, this is a grab-it-when-you-can tool. And we don’t say that often.

Ships to you packed ultra-protected and insured just in case.

Shipping & Returns Policy

Shipping: For now, unless otherwise noted in a listing, all orders in any amount from this website ship FREE. Yay, right? There may occasionally be exceptions for large and difficult or expensive items to ship, where a separate shipping charge may be included. If that’s the case, the listing will tell you the shipping charge. We’ll pick the shipping carrier and method in our discretion. Usually it’ll be USPS or Fed Ex. We pack each order exceedingly carefully in the hope of avoiding any damage in transit. So far so good, but accidents happen, so each shipment is insured.

Returns: We want you to be thrilled with the tool or tools you pick out from The Tool Archive. So you may return any purchase for a full refund, provided that the item is in the same condition you received it in.

We just ask that you contact us and let us know that you want to return the item (contact through the website contact links or by the email address and telephone number listed) within 7 days of receiving the item. You will then need to ship the item back within an additional 7 days (within 14 days total from the day you receive the item). You will be responsible for packing the item well-protected and generally will be responsible for paying the return shipping cost.

Questions about any of this? Feel free to contact us through any of the methods shown on the website.
