Beautiful, adjustable Sweetheart-era No. 65 chamfer shave with most of its original japanning and a Sweetheart cutter. There are exactly 1,842 ways to chamfer a board. This is one of them. Is this better than the other 1,841 ways? We don’t feel comfortable putting such a value judgment on it. The last time we judged a spokeshave like that, it resulted in years of therapy for the spokeshave (and us, but we needed therapy anyway because we anthropomorphize inanimate tools, and that’s apparently not normal).
Definitely a collection-worthy example.
