Stanley Bed Rock 602 Bench Plane (Smoother) - Sweetheart
Generalizing a bit, the Bed Rock No. 602 is right up there with the Bailey No. 1 on the dream list of planes for any Stanley collector to own. They’re considered rare, but pop up with enough frequency that someone diligently looking daily will probably find either one without much trouble. The real challenge is finding them preserved, original, and intact in collector condition. We therefore ceremoniously present the solution to that challenge: a practically flawless, “extra fine” (if you’re into those terms), and handsome-as-hell 602. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the cherry on top, it’s a Sweetheart era with the Sweetheart logo iron.
If this plane had a voice, we feel like it would sound like Sean Connery playing James Bond. Why? No clue. Sometimes these strikes of brilliant insight just hit us. You’re lucky to have witnessed this one.
We’ll let the photos say the rest. Wow.
Ships to you exceedingly well-packed and insured just in case.
