This is one of the best-looking No. 2s we’ve seen in a while, and definitely a Top 5 or better. Super clean, but not worked over one bit. All finishes, including japanning, appear to be original and exceptionally intact. Really nice partial logo decal on the tote, which, by the way, is gorgeous rosewood with just a little honest wear. Maybe we’re nuts, but we love the overall patina of this plane. Show-stopper No. 2 in superb condition. Used but immaculately cared for.
Since the tote decals are such a big deal in Stanley Planeland, we’ve got an idea we’d like your input on. If we’ve got a blank tote, we’ll find a badass temporary tattoo to be our decal and slap that baby on the tote so it shows some personality. You know, a piece of “flair.” One great idea we have would be a skull with a snake wrapped around it and red roses, for some reason we do not understand. Now that would look cool on a tote and, fingers crossed, should add tremendous value to the plane. Don’t worry, we’ll lacquer over it so it stays put in your sweaty paws.
